President Barack Obama signed into law a $17.6 billion jobs bill on Thursday and sounded an optimistic note about the U.S. economy, saying it may soon begin adding jobs instead of losing them.
Light at the end of the tunnel - it's certainly a long tunnel. Of course, the economy will add jobs, the census has started. One question, why the need for the additional stimulus if the tone is so optimistic, or is that too obvious? This is certain the first in a series of additional job legislation. The only certainty is that QE is destined to punish those dollar you hold.

It's the first of several such measures Democrats have promised this election year to address the public's top worry: jobs. The measure includes about $18 billion in tax breaks and pumps $20 billion into highway and transit programs.
