1929-1944 & 2000-Present Comparison: S&P 500 to Gold ($/oz) Ratio

Trees do not grow to the sky, at least not without consequences (emphasis added).

You'll start to notice that pressing down the stock market accelerator will have the unintended consequence of pushing up gold much higher. It's a good thing that few understand gold's monetary role or there would be something to explain. It's just a barbaric relic, right?
