The blame game starts. Turkey, a predominantly Muslim, is a key Western ally that promotes stability within that region. Any actions taken against Iran need the support of Turkey. Thus, when words such as the two countries have reached a turning point in their long-standing alliance should not be easily dismissed.
The Turkish prime minister furiously blamed Israel on Tuesday for a "bloody massacre" that killed nine people on a Gaza-bound Turkish aid ship, and proclaimed that the two countries had reached a turning point in their long-standing alliance.
