No disagreement that the gold shares shorts are going to get roasted. I would only add that physical bullion has led the gold shares higher since 1971. The "power of gold shares" (in comparison to gold), often ignored in the short-term, is the increasing dividends as gold rises. Rising dividends will weaken the resolve and pocketbook of any short.

When asked about what transpired with gold and silver taking off yesterday John remarked, “I said to myself this is a really big day because to me it was decisive action. I looked around for some headlines and didn’t see much, and to me it’s always best when you don’t have a knee jerk reaction to some news headline that would explain gold’s move.
